PermaRock invests in new office design!
Office design plays a crucial role in shaping productivity and the overall success of a company. Recognising this, here at PermaRock, we recently invested in a transformative office fit-out in collaboration with Ashlar Projects, a renowned office design specialist. The results have been nothing short of impressive, as the new office design reflects our commitment to creating an inspiring and efficient workspace for our employees.
The importance of office design
Research has shown that office design has a significant impact on employee productivity and well-being. A well-designed office enhances teamwork, creativity and overall job satisfaction. With this in mind, we seized the opportunity to revamp our office space, recognising that an investment in the work environment is an investment in our employees.
When working alongside Ashlar Projects, we aimed to create an office design that would foster collaboration and innovation, creating a functional space without compromising on style. By adopting a flexible and open-plan layout, the new office design encourages employees to interact and share ideas, promoting a culture of unity and open communication.
Our office design journey
One key aspect of the office fit-out was the incorporation of breakout areas and shared spaces. These spaces provide employees with a comfortable, open environment for discussions, idea-generation sessions and informal meetings. Our boardroom was transformed into an open-plan kitchen/breakout space which changed its purpose to become more of a social, collaborative space.
With this, two additional rooms were knocked through to create one large boardroom, with a completely different look that includes a secondary brand palette, geometric feature wall and linear architectural lighting.
By offering a variety of work settings, from a dedicated boardroom for meetings to dynamic areas for group discussions, we have created an office that caters to the diverse needs of our workforce.
Incorporating brand identity
The choice of materials and colours in the office design also deserves a special mention. The design team carefully selected elements that reflect PermaRock's brand identity and create a welcoming working environment. Natural elements such as pine wood partitions, softwood detail in the balustrade rail and biophilic features create a warm, inviting space, promoting a sense of calm and well-being among employees.
Our decision to invest in this office fit-out was our way of showing our commitment to our employees and their working environment. By prioritising office design, we have not only improved the physical space but also showed our workforce that their well-being matters.
