Four decades ago, PermaRock introduced the first mineral fibre systems into Britain’s external wall insulation market. Since the 1980s, they have been used extensively on new-build and retrofit projects – and, more recently, on an increasing number of cladding replacement schemes.
Offering a flexible solution wherever a fire-safe insulated render is required, our systems are ideally suited for use on recladding projects. Amongst others, examples have included conventional high-rise residential blocks (private and social housing), hotels, and student accommodation. In all cases, PermaRock systems meet the stringent demands faced by scheme designers who are tasked with producing robust solutions for the replacement of combustible cladding on multi-storey buildings.
Featuring A1 non-combustible mineral wool insulation, PermaRock Mineral Fibre External Wall Insulation Systems provide excellent reaction-to-fire performance in line with current Building Regulations. With an A2-s1,d0 classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1, they can be used on buildings of all heights and are equally suitable for use on high-rise and low-rise buildings – including, for example, schools, public buildings and people’s homes. They offer an extensive choice of aesthetic finishes, including PermaRock SiliconeUltra K Finish (1.5 mm) and PermaRock Brick Slips, both of which are available in a wide range of colours and will enable the resulting systems to retain the important A2-s1,d0 classification.
